InactiveI know I don’t post regularly but I do like to peruse the boards every once in a while to see what’s happening! Anyway, Ava is now taking Zegerid only twice per day and her reflux has been under control for over a year now! Anyway, I saw in a post below where someone was asking about mixing the Zegerid with Mylanta and keeping in stored together…well I actually emailed Dr. Phillips about this last fall and I’ve copied my email and his reponse below! Take care everyone!

Zegerid + Mylanta stability question…
08/18/06
Hey Dr. Phillips,Hey Dr. Phillips,
You’ve
been such an amazing help to me in the past and I just want you to know
I really appreciate all of your help, advice and wisdom! You have
helped us and so many other people and there aren’t words that express
our gratitude!I just have a quick question that I hope you can help me
with…my daughter is currently taking zegerid 3 times per day and we
use the 40mg packets (4mg/ml solution) and each individual dose is
mixed with an equal amount of cherry mylanta supreme. My question is
how long is the zegerid + mylanta stable for? We just seem to be out a
lot during her mid day dose and it’s a small pain to have to mix it up
while we’re out so I didn’t know if it was possible to mix them up
ahead of time and if so what temperature they might need to be kept? Thanks again for EVERYTHING!
Jeffrey Phillips to meshow details8/18/06 No, unfortunately you need to mix the Zegerid with the Mylanta within 1 hr of use.Dr Phillips

I am sorry for writing so much I just want to make sure we are doing
everything perfect. I read this on a board: and here is my question.
We have been mixing the mylanta, water and zegerid all together and
then using it until it runs out. Is this wrong? Does the mylanta
really need added within an hour of use? -
