Ever since he had the ear infection he has been refusing to eat at all. I went back yesterday b/c of this and they said that he is completely healthy and they think maybe teething is causing issues. They said his molars are swollen and look like they are going to come through soon. He has been running a fever of 100-101 for the last 2 days. Again this was chalked up to teething. He is drooling like crazy too! He is refusing any solids and is not eating much of anything bottle wise. We go back in a week for his 9 month checkup/weight check. They said they will worry if he is losing weight or at the same weight for a while. I give him motrin or tylenol and neither seems to make a difference in his eating patterns. Also they told me to go ahead and do the milk trial starting yesterday. He hates the milk formula so i have been mixing nutramigen in with it and he will eat that. So far no allergy issues showing up at all unless you count his grouchiness but that has been going on for 2 weeks now! All in all I think milk allergies are not an issue now!

Any ideas on how to get him to eat? Is anyone else experiencing this? Or have in the past? I really don’t think this is a reflux issue by any means so i guess i have to assume teething at this point!

Maybe both a virus and teething at same time? Seems to be Marisa’s issue right now – although she is eating for the most part.

Maybe it’s not a good time to start the milk trial if he has a fever
though? I’d think if his immune system is already compromised he might
have a harder time with the milk or anything new than he might
otherwise?

I hope he starts eating soon!

Not that Matthew eats well ever, but him too, he is going through something similar. He used to take 4 yogurts (in his bottles) and some solids and for the last few days, he has not eaten anything, he is really fussy and i do think for him it is the teething. His bottom front have been out for a while but now i can see nothing at the top because he barely lets me into his mouth but the bottom side are starting to stick out. (Don´t know if you can have sides before the top so it is either 2 or 4 teeth). He will not even drink much water from the bottle.

Hope that it is only temporary for Isaac and he feels better soon!
