InactiveFor those of you who are using or planning to try Zegerid, they have a coupon on their website (http://www.zegerid.com) that gets you up to $30 off your prescription. And it’s not one of those ones you have to mail in and get your money back. I’m not sure, but it looks like you can print off as many as you want and use them repeatedly. If this is not the case, please reply to this post and let me know. Enjoy!

InactiveThanks Joel. That reminds me, I’ve been wanting to ask you about switching my son from Prevacid to Zegerid. I’m so tired of the constant schedule we have to be on in order to give it to him three times a day on an empty stomach and follow it 30 minutes later with a full meal. It’s very frustrating

Anyway, if I decide to switch him, do I make a complete switch all at once, or would it be better to replace one of his Prevacid doses each day with Zegerid for a few days, and then replace two doses for a few days, and then finally replace all three doses after a week or so?
Will he more than likely do as well on the Zegerid as he is doing on the Prevacid?
If I switch him all at once, will he relapse for a while until the Zegerid kicks in? I definitely don’t want that!!
Thanks,
Christine

InactiveIf you do make the switch to Zegerid, it should be fine for you to make the switch all at once. PPIs are all very similar molecularly and in the way that they work, and so there should not be a lag time between the two. I cannot say for sure that Zegerid will work the same or better than the Prevacid, but I think that it is likely, given how the drug works.

InactiveHas anyone used this coupon successfully yet? If so, how much were you able to get off?

InactiveJoel:
I just used the coupon for the first time today. I got the full $30.00 off of 60 packets. What would have cost me $37.00 only cost me $7.00 now. What a great deal!!

Do you know if it can be used more than once? Can I print another for next time? Please let me know. Thanks so much

InactiveYeah, I think they can be used more than once. I just printed off a whole bunch of them the first time I went to the site. I plan to use them if we get a prescription for the capsules for my wife. If anyone else confirms that they can be used more than once, let us know!

InactiveI didn’t have any luck with it. The drugstore (Rite Aid) couldn’t scan the coupon. And they kept acting like it was pretty fishy. They couldn’t understand that the $30 off also applied to the co-pay, not just if you paid out of pocket.

InactiveRobin-
Just curious what pharmacy that you used that honored the coupon?
Thanks,
Kara

InactiveIt was our local grocery store pharmacy (Kessler’s) that honored it for me. It didn’t scan on the cash register for him but he honored it anyway. Maybe because he knows me from all of the times I have been in there with the problems we have had with the kids. Will be curious to see if I can use it again next time.
Good Luck!!

InactiveI used the Zegerid coupon today- this is my second month in a row. What a big savings! Curious to see if anyone else is able to use it more than once.
