My son is 7 weeks old and was just started on Zantac (about 4 days ago). I am breastfeeding but we have been giving bottles with expressed breastmilk – about once a day because I will be going back to work in a few weeks. I am a bit confused because he ussually does better, reflux wise, during the feeding that he is fed with a bottle. Sometimes he even is screaming at my breast and we finish the feeding with a bottle and he does great. Everything I’ve read so far has seemed to say the opposite is ussually true. Has anyone else had this experience or have any explanation for it?

We had this issue with my daughter. I think a large part of it was due to the fact that she never was good at latching on to my breast. I also had OAL and this made it really hard for her and really increased the reflux symptoms. There also the fact that you can sit the baby up more upright during a bottle feed than one can while nursing.
