Hi, I was wondering if people had any magic cures for thrush (nipple). Breastfeeding is great but the thrush isn’t!!!!! Still reflux free but guess who seems to be dairy and soy intolerant???? Nick. Not suprising given Alana was I suppose. Being dairy and soy free totally sucks, which is no suprise to many of you! Anyway any ideas greatfully recieved. CUrrently using Daktarin cream and oral gel. Thanks

I’m so sorry, I know how painful and annoying thrush is. I didn’t get it this time around, but did with my first. We tried a round of nystatin which didn’t do much, so went on to diflucan which helped for about a week and then it returned worse than ever. The only thing that worked for us is gentian violet, vinegar rinses, boiling the crap out of everything(paci,bottles,pump parts) and bleaching bras until they were basically see through. I also took acidophilus too. HTH!

you and your baby both need to be treated at the same time, even if one of you is showing no symptoms. diflucan is best, but you might need about a 10 day course.
