InactiveI am trying to get an appiontment with MARCI KIDS. Our insurance has approved the referal. MARCI-Kids website says “To set up an appointment with a MARCI-Kids team member, call Amy Schomaker at 573-882-8929 or for general information, send an email to appliedresearch@missouri.edu.”
When I call this number it says you cannot leave messages there. Um okay how do I get an appiontment then. I have sent an email and no answer after two weeks. Today I called University hospital and they are looking into it for me after speaking to 5 different people who have never heard of MARCI-Kids.November 17, 2009 at 2:21 pm #64574Anonymous
InactiveTry emailing Dr. Phillips… he’s usually very good about replying to emails & I would guess he can direct you to who you need to call/email. Explain exactly what you explained above!
Dr. Jeffrey Phillips:

Good luck & how exciting to see them in person!

InactiveThank you.
I am very frustrated. I called Dr. Ramirez’s office directly as he is listed as one of the MARCI team members on the website. I spoke to his nurse directly and everything she said was almost the exact opposite of what the website says the doctors and getting a referral. She acted like she had hardly even heard of MARCI.I have emailed Dr. Phillips directly. Hopefully he will be of help. He has helped us in the past.November 18, 2009 at 11:56 am #64581Anonymous
InactiveTry referring to them as the Reflux Solutions Lab vs Marci-kids when you are talking to other offices. MARCI-Kids is their website. Reflux Solutions is their department at the University. That may help.

InactiveThat is so great to hear!!! I am so glad you are going to see them. I too was going to have an appointment with them but Dr. Phillip’s had me try mixing the Prevacid with Caracream first as he was pretty sure it was a medication issue after he reviewed the stuff I sent him. Sure enough after a week and a half of mixing the Prevacid with Caracream Ryan was a new and improved man. We havent looked back since. And it saved us the drive from Des Moines! Dave and Jeff are god sends!!

InactiveDr. Phillips was so great to us as well! I truly believe that the help of him and his staff, and getting the meds right with CaraCream was what saved my daughter from a feeding tube. Keep us posted.
