It all started 2 weeks back with my dd got fever, cold and we found that she is teething so badly that it just hurt her when the bottle nipple touched her gums. I know that it was teething pain as sleep feeding too did not work out. She then got some rashes (like acne) on her face. Her Ped felt that it could be just cold virus and wanted us to keep up her immunisation schedule.
Now, she takes only half of her bottle and is crying/fussing at the sight of spoon. I did try to feed her with my hand and tried many things like trying to feed her away from her high chair, distraction, etc, but she hates solids now. The most confusing thing is she muches happily on rice puffs and diced pears. She does not open her mouth for anything else. I even thought that she might want to feed independently on table food/finger food…but she hates anything else. She even gags/vomits when I manage to put something into her mouth. What could this be?
She is constipated even when on solids-free diet. Her Ped wants me to go back for OT for feeding aversion. But, honestly, OT was not of much help earlier too. Does anyone have any clue to what it is?
