InactiveNoah was pretty much a silent refluxer for the most part. With spit ups here and there and vomitting here and there. He hasnt done either for many months now. However, the last week, he has been doing it again, just out of the blue. He was walking along the other day and suddenly he vomitted a slight bit (about 3 oz). This has happend several times lately and for no apparent reason. It doesnt seem to bother him. And then today he did yet again (an hour after his bottle) and then also had a dirty diaper that made his butt fire engine red almost immediately. Do you think these are signs of food intolerances. The only new food he’s had in the last couple days is Gerber Graduates Turkey and Veggie. I’ve also been giving him YoBaby yogart for the last 2 weeks. Do you think its milk sensitivity starting to show up? Or a relapse in reflux for no apparent reason? I’ve been giving him butter in all of his solids for the last 3 or so months and he’s had bites here and there of ranch dressing, sour cream etc. So he has had dairy. I just cant figure out why this sudden vomitting an hour after eating.

InactiveMy first thought was some sort of allergy or intolerance. Funny that you mentioned that.
The vomitting and diaper thing seem classic signs of something not agreeing with him. Look at the ingredients on the turkey/veggie graduates. Anything he hasn’t had in it? Sometimes they throw an ingredient in there just to throw us off:) Doesn’t sound like the milk to me, but what do I know???
Hope you get some great responses!

InactiveCould it be a stomach virus? Lord, knows they’re everywhere. Myles thankfully has not had one yet, but my girls have had plenty of them. They’re always different. Somtimes vomiting, sometimes diarrhea, sometimes both. Somtimes they’re really bad and hang on a long while, and other times they are mild and short lived. Hopefully that’s all it is and it will pass quickly.
I guess the YoBaby Yogurt is a possibility, though. Maybe stop that for a while and see what happens. Then try again in a few weeks.
I hope he’s better soon and I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better (I read your other post).

Inactivesounds like food to me too…..even if you aren’t doing a lot of dairy, it can take a while for dairy proteins to build up in their systems, if they are suffering from a protein intolerance….and they are fine until the proteins get to a certain point. But when they reach that point, they will then again have symptoms of the trouble with dairy. Yogurt proteins are more broken down than those in plain milk, so sometimes kiddos are fine with yogurt, but cannot tolerate milk, etc. I would stop the dairy and wait two weeks and see what happens.
hope this helps!

InactiveMy son Grayson has also started to spit up like that out of no where. He is also a silent refluxer but has hardly never spit up and now all of a sudden he is doing it. But it isnt like you would think of spit up being. Its like he opens his mouth and the milk and foam just come out and on with what ever he is doing. He doesnt seem uncomfortable at all. He is on Neocate and no solids so I though it was maybe the teething since it has really kicked in the last couple of weeks. Could you little guy be getting teet or does he have all of his?
