hi everyone!! hope this finds everyone doing well! we are doing well here, expecting a new addition in late may. we’re very excited and i’m preparing myself for another gerdling (although i secretly hope not!).
i was hoping you guys would be able to recommend a really GOOD gluten free cookbook. we do a lot of our own baking and cooking, and i haven’t been able to find a cookbook i really like yet. i’ve been modifying most of my favorite recipes, sometimes with success…other times, maddenly horrific results. we’re all gf/corn free (and many more ‘free’ for maddie moo) except dh. i would LOVE to hear of a cookbook that is family friendly and delicious. thanks in advance!January 29, 2011 at 2:28 pm #67751hellbenntKeymasterwhoohoo! congratulations!!!
I’ll get on it, LOL!!! (meaning finding links for a cookbook)~lauraok here goeshttp://forums.delphiforums.com/n/main.asp?webtag=celiac&ctx=256&cacheTag=x52-40 there are recipes here- look on the left- I don’t know how to navigate too easily there? One of the most useful ones I think is Jax Peters Lowell, Against the Grain: the slightly eccentric guide to living well without gluten or wheat. It’s more of an informational book than a cookbook (though it does have some very good — and simple — recipes) but I found it quite useful for what to look for ingredients wise, what I could or couldn’t eat at restaurants, etc. from Christine, Palemer’s Mom https://www.infantreflux.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4225&TPN=2

we actually use most of our old favorite betty crocker recipes and substitute with bette’s featherlite mix and add xanthan gum. we have success with most of our baking. we eat muffins, pancakes, cookies, cake, etc. on a regular basis. -
