it is different. one of my daughters with celiac has had food allergy testing and she is not allergic to wheat. gluten is in wheat, but it is also in barley, anything with malt flavoring, rye, kamut, spelt, triticale—and probably some others i can’t think of at the moment. oats do not onctain gluten, but most commercial oats are considered contaminated. we only buy oats for our girls that are specifically grown and watched to be guaranteed gluten free. kevieb2009-04-14 18:39:11
