Inactiveif you have was it worth the money? Were you happy with it? The reason I ask is that Colton has reached the limit on his crib and he has fell out. I need something to keep him in but the tent is almost 80.00 which is alot of money so I need to make sure its going to work. Thanks in advance.

InactiveI haven’t used it but I keep the link handy because I will definintely
buy it if Myles begins to climb out or fall out of his crib. It looks
pretty safe and effective to me. I know I’d never be able to sleep if I
knew he could get out of his crib at night. Fortunately my girls never
climbed out so I haven’t needed it so far. Good luck on your decision
and please post your thoughts about it if you do buy it.August 29, 2006 at 8:46 pm #12613Anonymous
InactiveWe ended up switching Kaelyn to a bed so we could have the crib for Alex. However, my sister nannies for twins that have crib tents. They turned 3 in April and they are still in their cribs with the tents. She says that the tents are awesome. The girls don’t seem to be bothered by them and it keeps them safely in their cribs.

InactiveI’ve wondered about one for Hailey, but it just seemed like it would bother her (and me, since she’s up a gazillion times a night).

InactiveWe used the crib tent with Dylan. It worked well for a while, but my escape artist at one point pulled the whole thing down and it was upside down inside the crib! He should not have been able to do that, though, but he is unusually strong.
Eventually, he learned that if he poked his finger hard enough and long enough at the zipper from the inside, it would move just enough to sneak his finger out and unzip it himself.
It did work well for quite a while, but then we just switched him to a bed at around 2 years old.
I kept it and will definitely use it with Carter when he starts climbing, but what I didn’t like about it was we had to get it for Dylan at around 9 months old as he was throwing himself spread eagle out over the top of the crib and when I would still go in at night to check on him, the zipper made noise that would startle him. Also, if he was already asleep and we tried to sneak him in there, the zipper would sometime wake him up when we were closing the side.
OK, now I’m rambling, but bottom line, it kept him safe until he figured the rest of the stuff out and I would use it again for Carter.

Keymastermy friend used it and even after her 2/2.5 yr old was in her own bed, she used it for time outs

so, I would say in her case it was a ‘success’ ie: sqafely containing her daughter…
maybe ebay has one for less $$?
