InactiveSince my son is still having so many problems, I decided I was going to try him on probiotics. I did a little research and found that at Walgreen’s they sell Natrol Acidophilus & is yeast, wheat, corn, milk, egg, soy, gluetens, etc. free. I was very disappointed when I went there that it is not milk free it has whey powder (stated if you have a milk allergy to contact your dr first). I noticed on this site that a few members were using it and thought it was milk safe.
I have never tried them & am basically new to them. Was I looking at the wrong product or have they changed the ingredients? Is there any that are milk, soy & corn free?
Thanks for your help.

Inactivei’ve heard best quality is at the health stores versus big chains like walgreens. also the refrigerated kind are supposed to be better since these are live. we use and love kidzyme-after each allergic episode we put them in his sippy cup for a few weeks and i see a return to normal poop and behavior. good luck.

I am new at probiotics but need to find some kind of relief for him. Prior to going on Neocate he had diarrhea all the time but the Neocate constipated him. Now that we are introducing foods again he can not sleep during the day because he has a bowel movement almost at every nap. He is terrible because he is so tired. I know their bodies relax when they sleep so it is probably making it easier for his bm. Do you think the probiotics would help him with this?

InactiveWe had the same problem with the neocate. I hated it when her sleep was interrupted! We fed her prunes every day to help with the constipation, we also used lactulose and probiotics. Our ped referred us to Quantum Nurtition Labs at qnlabs.com . I was skeptical about ordering and what to order. When I called I spoke to a nutritionalist about DD’s situation they actually had the Doctor who started the company call me back. He really eased my mind and talked about getting the right flora back into her system. He also told us how to start her off on the probotics and suggested we make a natural carrot/apple/celery juice and give it to her because that naturally helps with the flora of the intestines. I was impressed with this company. Their number is 866 627-1577. Good luck!
