just wondering, anyone know anything about tagamet? we were at the g.i. today, and she persuaded us to try tagamet. zantac was not doing much for us on a regular basis, so dr. suggested tagamet. hum… stella takes it MUCH better than zantac b/c its peach flavor! yum!

tagament is an h2 blocker just like zantac, if you fuond the zantac didnt work then neither will tagament.

i would suggest asking for a PPI, which would be much more effective. take a look at marci-kids.com and then fax it to your doctor.

I think it would be worth giving a try. Just because the Zantac may not work, another H2 blocker could work. Kayla started on Zantac and it didn’t work at all but once she got on Pepcid, it worked great for her.

thanks… we’ll just have to see. she has been on prevacid (not enough according to marci-kids) and did terrible on that – tons of cramping. she actually did better on zantac alone, which is no longer true. we’re going to try the tagamet, and have a perscription for prevacid with a larger dose if the tagamet fails. ahhhhh! thanks for the info!
