Prevacid side effect?

We went up on the prevacid dose about a week ago. We now give him 15 mg twice a day instead of just once.

After about 4 days, he is and empty hole as far as feeding is concerned. He wants to eat constantly. He is unsatisfied after every meal or snack. This is a recent thing for him, so it makes me wonder if it could be a side effect of the extra prevacid.

Does anyone know?

sounds like maybe his pain is being managed better now and he can eat.

It’s probably like coming off of a diet…you’re starving and want to eat everything in sight. He probably just needs to make up for all the time he wasn’t feeling well and eating well. I think it will balance out once his body refuels itself enough.

Glad to hear he’s feeling better.

Funny you mentioned this because my son just started out on Prevacid (15mg once a day) and I haven’t seen much improvement yet, however, I have noticed that he is eating more. Hopefully it is a sign that the medication is helping your little one…and mine too!
