InactiveGreat pictures! Alex sticks her foot out of the hotsling like that all of the time. Or she used to when she would let me carry her like that. Now, she gets mad if she’s not facing out so she can see everything. Four and a half months old and she’s already demanding things!

InactiveI love the pics, Laura!! So cute. You guys look so comfortable.
It’s great that your dh doesn’t complain about you having so many different carriers! Looks like you’re racking up quite the collection- and some of them look quite complicated to tie up!
My husband always always used to complain that we had enough, and we only had two!

Keymasterdh thinks I’m nuts
, but he doesn’t complain-I really don’t buy much in general- I’m not a “shopper”- and I don’t buy shoes like many other women do…ack, who needs to justify, LOL
! It’s fun!October 30, 2006 at 3:47 pm #16841Anonymous
InactiveLaura,
It’s great to match the face with the name!
You look just like I imagined… kind of like my sister “Laura”.
Also, I see you post all over this board (you are a GODSEND!) but somehow I missed that you have a NEWBORN! Ari is so cute! Well, so is Jonah! (I love the pic with dh). I always see you helping others so I don’t really know this… how is Ari doing? When in July was he born?

Keymasterhi leanne,

he was born July 17th- so close to Anika
!He’s a blessing! A true joy
!!Thanks for asking

InactiveLaura-children are so cute and you look great from having the baby!
Must be all the exercise of carrying!

What’s your favorite carrier?
When did Jonah go from loving one to being more resistant to it?
trying to gage mine going in one for nursing at 7 mos-I need something to keep him from turning to look and breaking off the breast..think I might have the wrong one for the job..the native baby carrier is the one I have…

Keymasterfavorite carrier?
well I love:
a pouch for a quick trip
a ring sling is good for a quick trip and also for breastfeeding while out & about- I have casual & fancy & even w/ spf protection
…a mei tai will get more use soon- great for longer carries and vertical nursing while out & about
stretchy wrap is snuggly right now at home for baby who wants to sleep and mama wants to hop on the computer
for nursing, maybe a ring sling but they have a learning curve- maybe there’s a local group where another mama can show you how to use one…unless you’re good at following directions from online (there are even videos online)- me, I need someone showing me in real life…anyway, the tail of a ring sling can be used to cover/shade baby so that s/he can’t look around…

InactiveI just got a beautiful ring sling. I LOVE it!!! SOOO much better than the Snugli I had, but I still need to work on the nursing in it.

Keymaster
YAY! I love spreding the babywearing love
!nursing is tricky…one tip: nurse from the breast that’s not ‘under’ the ring- this sounds counter-intuitive but it works…you can have baby’s legs sticking out by the rings- looks silly, but cute…
the videos at oopababy http://www.oopababy.com/videos.php really helped me
