Hi,

My daughter is on 7.5 mg of Prevacid Solutabs once a day. I break a 15 in half and dissolve it in water. Today is her 4th day. I am not seeing too much improvement yet. What concerns me is that she seems sedated after taking it. Her eyes look very tired and slightly closed. Is this normal?

Also, how can I post a picture with my signature?

It can take up to two weeks to see the full effect of a PPI medication like Prevacid.

I’m not sure about the tiredness. I didn’t notice that with my son. Could it be that she feels better and can relax? How long after taking it does she get tired? How long before she perks up again?

To do pics you can click on another person’s picture and it will take you to lillipie (I think that’s what it’s called). Once you get there I’m not sure what to do. I’m not very computer savvy.

o.k once u get to lillypie.. (u can click on mine).. than click on 1st year..its on the left. and than follow directions.. it should lead you through it.. than on the 3rd step, click on upload pic and u can download it from your computer. than copy the code that says something about” for websites that dont allow http’s” i think or something like that, i think it is the 2nd one that you can copy the code from. ..and than paste it where your signature goes.

and i was about to say that maybe she relaxes and than gets sleepy as well?? how does she sleep otherwise?

you’ll find prevacid dosing info. I’m not sure how 7.5 mgs once a day fits in w/ your daughter’s weight etc?

hmmmm
i agree check her dose at marci-kids.com. they have dosing info and a dosing calculator.
most doctors underdose PPI’s in infants.
i cant imagine that 7.5 mg once a day would do anything to relief reflux pain
