InactiveAll you that pray please pray for our family. My dad has been told he has terminal lung cancer and that he has probably had it for some time. They have staged him at stage 4. I knew the time would come and we would have to say goodbye. Many years ago I stopped using the term goodbye because a couple of my friends passed just shortly after saying goodbye. When I leave my parents house I just say I love you. Goodbye is so final and my heart is breaking. I need strength and courage to get thru this so if you pray can you ask for some stength and courage be sent our way. This is the hardest time in my life. Thanks and Godbless.

InactiveKathleeen:
I would be happy to say prayers for you. We just lost my father-in-law last week to lung cancer and needless to say, even though you know it is coming, it doesn’t make it any easier, especially with the flood of memories of Christmas’s past and with this being a somewhat emotional time of the year anyway. I will pray for comfort for him as he goes through this and strength for you and your family to help you deal with it. Remember, if you believe, you really never have to say “goodbye”, it is just “see you again later”.
Hugs and prayers to you and your family.

Hugs and prayers for you and your family.
I recently lost my grandpa, the man I loved, admired, and adored most on this earth…..so I sure know how it hurts to lose someone so special.
Like Robin said, I find comfort in knowing that it’s not really goodbye, but see you later in a better place.December 18, 2006 at 3:36 pm #20699Anonymous
InactiveKathleen,
I’m so sorry to hear. I recently lost my sweet Grandma, and it was so hard. I can’t imagine losing a parent. I too will keep your family in my prayers.

InactiveThanks everyone. Robin I know it won’t be forever goodbye but its just not knowing how long it will be. I have been thru so much with him and him with me. I don’t feel like I am just losing my dad but also a best friend.

InactiveI am so sorry to hear this. It is just so hard I think to actually know that they have so little time left. I will be praying for you and your family during this difficult time.

InactiveJust wanted to add, my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2001 and given 3 months to live. She underwent chemo/radiation even though they thought there was not much point. She is now in remission and cancer free. Dont give up hope, just take every day as it comes.
