Help my 3 yr old was on reglan for 4 days. He took his last dose at 5:15 and then he was coming off of it because of a med change. Now he is shaking, drooling and sticking out his tongue. Doc told us to watch him at home for an hour and see if improves if not go to ER HELP anyone delt with this? How long does it last????? I’m really scared!!!

i’ve read that if it’s the reglan, giving benedryl will stop the reactions…don’t know 100% about this, but I believe a little bit of benedryl never hurt anyone…

http://www.askdrsears.com tells you the dose for most meds by weight

My son was on regaln for about 2 weeks. He started doing the same thing. It took about 3 or 4 days for it to get out of his system. If it does not get any better take him to the doc asap.

Thank you for your help. We ended up in emergency, and they did give hime benedryl and they told us to keep him on it for 2 days because that’s how long the effects can last. Thanks for all your help!!

You are NOT supposed to stop Reglan “cold turkey” you have to be weaned off of it. Your doc should have told you that.
