InactiveAlana has been doing very well on solids for a month, we have done lots of veges and fruits and she has been going well. I have steared clear of grains because of a couple of reactions (yucky loose smelly stools). She is MSPI. So I was just wondering where do I go from here. What kinds of solids do other people give, combination etc. Really after some new ideas….

InactiveI just gave fruits & veggies until they were 9 months, then I added in pureed meats, egg yolks, & yogurt.

InactiveHave you tried any finger foods yet? I waited until Sarah was 9 months old (rice puffs, cheerios, diced pears etc…) but my friends little girl is the same age as Alana and does really well with them? It’s up to you, but it’s a thought!

InactiveThey are just puffed cereal. I get them in the baby aisle. They dissolve in your mouth better than cheerios. They make several flavors…sweet potato, apple, banana.

InactiveTherese: It can be quite a challenge to feed MSPI babies – and sometimes they are picky to top it off! There is a MSPI food list that will give you some ideas. I will attach the link. I also make a lot of foods for Carson: spagetti/meat/sauce and noodles/tuna (soy free)/with Fleishmans butter/flour/rice dream as a sauce. If you would like some other ideas let me know and I can email them to you. The MSPI link was, I believe, started for MSPI nursing mothers but it is helpful for toddlers also.
