InactiveThe good news is that we sold our house in four days at the price we wanted!! YAY!
The really bad news is that we have to be out May 3rd and we don’t have anywhere to go yet! The house we wanted to buy ended up being a money pit so now we’re homeless!!!!
Oh wait, that’s not funny. I have no clue what we’re going to do. We put an offer down on another WAY more expensive house and we’re waiting to hear back. We offered really low so there’s no telling what they’ll counter offer. If they accept or counter, we will be living on mac n cheese and ramon noodles for 30 years. I’m so stressed out!The great news is that Sarah seems to be doing well on her antibiotic and I think it’s cleared up her ear infection. I guess that’s a little bit of sunshine in this mess!!!
Anyone have an extra room we could live in for a while???

InactiveThats great about you selling your house. Ya. And great that Sarah is doing better. Ya.
You can move in with us
we already live on things like mac n cheese (although thats because I am a lazy cook and couldn’t be bothered!).April 1, 2007 at 11:40 pm #29263Anonymous
InactiveIf Australia doesn’t work out, you could stay with us in Oregon–a slightly shorter commute to Illinois
.I am so glad Sarah is doing better! Have you noticed anything with the Probiotics?

InactiveOh no! I hope you can get something figured out fast. Is there somewhere you could rent temporarily??
Congrats on selling your house though, and I’m glad Sarah’s doing well.

InactiveI have a big refridgerator box in my garage – I can send it to you if you want me to (JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
)Seriously, I hope you can find something in the meantime or better yet, you can get the house you want. It is so great when things happen so quickly like selling your house, but I am sure it is stressful. So happy Sarah is doing better!!
Hang in there!!

InactiveOh, no! How stressful.
I’m glad to hear that you sold your home and that Sarah is feeling better.
I’m sure things will fall into place. Good luck!April 2, 2007 at 10:50 am #29279Anonymous
InactiveGood luck. Our first house sold rather quick too and we were also under the gun to find something fast. Luckily, they let us rent it back for a few weeks which bought us some time but it was still stressful.

InactiveWell if VA is an option for you….come on…the more the merrier.
Congrats on selling your house and I hope you find another one SOON!April 2, 2007 at 3:10 pm #29300Anonymous
InactiveThanks for the invites! I feel so loved!

I did not clean my house today b/c I thought it was all pretty much over and done. We haven’t signed papers but it’s close. So a realtor calls me on my planning period today and says they want to show the house TWICE today! My DH was home with Sarah so I frantically called him and told him to clean! They know there is a pending contract and they wanted to see it anyway. Wouldn’t that be cool if they started a bidding war?
Wishful thinking. *sigh* What a stressful day!!!Amy

InactiveCongrats!! I am sure you can find something short term to rent?

InactiveHey…at least it means that you don’t have to do the cleaning this week…dh has it covered. Maybe you could organise with the realtor to show a few more people through
on other days.April 2, 2007 at 8:56 pm #29343Anonymous
Inactivecongrats amy.. that is very exciting! it is a little scary that you think you have no place to go.. but at least you got what you wanted to get for the house.. and if you just rented for a month to month lease .. than you could take some time and make sure you get the house you really want….?
and i am happy that sarah is feeling better.. and would love to know how she is doing on the probiotics too!
oh ya and you can always come and stay with us.. ( we live with my parents!) soo.. i am sure we can fine more room for you guys too!

InactiveApparently since we already had a “verbal” contract, no one else could even make an offer. So why keep showing my house?? I guess the couple that came today was coming for a 2nd time and was really disappointed that they missed out. At least I know if, for whatever reason, the first offer falls through there are people waiting! It just makes me feel so proud as a homeowner to know that the updates and work we’ve done to “modernize” our house actually meant something.
BUT the big picture is that we’re still homeless. My students were teasing me today asking if I was going to start to stink in a few weeks b/c homeless people can’t shower.
I guess you have to find the humor somewhere. Ohhhhhhhh, sorry I missed the probiotic question earlier. She seems to be doing great. Her poops have been fantastic! (If there is such a thing!
) I lowered them to just 3 or 4 days a week until we started her recent antibiotic and now I’m giving them everyday. I haven’t noticed anything amazingly different, but it doesn’t seem to be hurting either. Her constipation problems improved a LOT after eliminating ALL rice cereal. I didn’t think it made that big of a difference, but boy was I wrong. So, things are looking up around here! Here’s a link to the listing of our house that we’re selling/sold. It’s not much, but apparently enough to sell! I thought the link would go directly to our house, but it goes to all of them. Ours is MLS #258635 for $85,000. The “expensive” house we’re looking to buy is MLS #255134

InactiveThat’s great news! The house that you’re looking at is cute. It reminds me of ours (except we don’t have a garage).
