InactiveI figured it out!!! I know why she won’t take anything from a spoon! She’s getting a top tooth…or two?! FINALLY! I rode in the back seat with her on the way to church to try to get to take her bottle and I can see a white mark. That totally explains why she doesn’t want purees. I tend to scrape the spoon across her top gum when I feed her. Ouch! I’m just glad there’s a REASON! For lunch she ate a whole jar of baby food…because I knew this time to be careful about her gums!
I called the doctor Friday to say the antibiotics didn’t appear to be working. She scheduled an appointment with us for Monday, tomorrow, to start shots of rocephin (sp?). She said I’d have to bring her in Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for 3 rounds of shots! THANKFULLY I feel that her ear infection is cleared up now so I’ll be happy to cancel that appointment tomorrow!

Amy, recent research is finding that many ear infections do not need and do not respond to antibiotic treatments, because many of the infections are viral, not bacterial. there is also a lot of strong evidence that points to overuse of antibiotics doing harm to the immune system.
here is a good article about ear infection treatment for you to check out:
