Prevacid Zantac ?

My pedi said that I could use a dose of Zantac at night for Landen (he is also on Prevacid 15mg split 2x – one in the AM and one in the PM). But Landen is having a REALLY bad refluxing day today. He woke earlier just screaming in pain and hiccuping really hard and crying huge crocodile tears . I gave him his dose of Zantac to try and give him some relief (it had been 4 hours since his AM dose of Prevacid). Now my question is…is it OK to give them 2 doses of Zantac in a 24hr period when on Prevacid?

I think my GI and Pedi are both on the slim side with meds and both said “just go with 1 dose if he’s on prevacid”. Landen was on 1ml 2x daily of Zantac before starting prevacid. Now I am giving him 1 ml (usually at midnight for congestion) along with prevacid. I am just wondering if it is ok to give him 2 doses in a 24hr period like this when he is having a bad day? He is 14lbs 2oz and will be 3 months old on 6/1.
