Sorry for all the questions. I have been doing a lot of reading today and am learning a lot. My ds is on compounded Prilosec. We have a compounding pharmacy in the area. They flavored it though and I am reading now that that can make it ineffective. Is this correct?
He has only been on it for a week now and I haven’t noticed that it is working but I had read that it can take 2wks to kick in so I assumed that was why. I have to go back to the pharmacy to drop of a form and plan to ask them about this, but I wanted to get some opinions here.
Also, he is almost 13# and is taking 2ml 2x per day. This seems low based on some of the things I have been reading. I was going to give it another week and then call my ped back and talk to him about it, but does 4ml total sound low for an almost 13# baby?
