I was able to get caracream ordered from my pharmacy through flavorRx and it should come in next week. Now that I am reading how to mix it though in the other post, it seems complicated. Will there be instructions with the kit? Will it matter if our new GI gives us the 30mg dose of prevacid capsules or the 15mg dose of capsules?

Since I started work this week, it has been impossible to continue solutabs. I run late everyday and Landen misses his dose (passes out with exhaustion) each night in the evening. So now I am giving him the 15mg solutab in the AM (and getting to work late most days) and giving him pepcid complete at night in the meantime.

yes it matters….the mixing is different for the 30 mg and the 15 mg capsules. its easier to get instructinos directly from marci-kids. did you get the caracream kits or the caracream jr kits?

Natalia, the Pharmacist has Chocobase kits and Caracream Kits (I did not see Jr) on his list so I asked for Caracream. I nearly fell over to see that he had it! I called every pharmacy in my town.

There’s a difference between the CaraCream JR kits and the CaraCream kits… basically it’s the same difference that exists with the 40mg packets and the 20mg packets of zegerid. The Junior kits have twice the amount of buffer as the other kits, which means that you don’t have to give as much per dose. We started out with the regular kits, and had to give her 8ml per dose. It was hard. I’d double check with your pharmacy and see if they have the JR kits. Also, contact marci-kids and get the instructions to do it yourself. Make SURE to specify exactly which size capsule you’re using, otherwise they’ll likely assume it’s the 30mg ones. Good luck.
