welcome!
I have a LOT to say & I say it here: Groupie Intro: my intro: https://www.infantreflux.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=853&am p;PN=1&TPN=1
please please read/scroll/skim this, as there is a lot to help you
ok that being said:
it does depend if your baby has reflux ‘only’ because of an immature valve (LES, loew esophegeal shpincter) or as a result of protein intolerances/allergies
oftentimes, babies w/ reflux have food intolerances and/or allergies that contribute significantly to their reflux
there are signs to look for to know if perhaps intolerances/allergies are contributing to baby’s reflux
how are your baby’s stools? normal mustardy seedy breastfed baby stools? or green and stringy (mucousy) or green and frothy (like shaving cream) or speckeled w/ what looks like coffee grounds? these types of stools may indicate food intolerances/allergies or even OAL overactive letdown…
I wrote all about this from the link above
– there’s even a section ‘feeding your breastfed baby’ – scroll to find it
glad you found us!
