HAS COXSACKIE…. i owe all of you an update as to how we did in the feeding clinic… i will copy the post from another forum in the feeding aversions forum at some point… he did amazing by the way.

Now, I am just up because he is so sick… (oh yes, and my growing belly is making it hard to sleep too!) will not touch food, is vomitting constantly, has blisters in his throat… i guess this is the first test for him… see if we can make it without using the tube during this sickness…

UGGH – during the 2 months he was in Baltimore, he did not even have a cold… now just as we return… we have this uphill battle… and i thought that we had all summer to practice until cold/GI season next year… oh well!!

Oh no! Poor Matthew! That sounds so miserable. I hope he can get over it quickly and that it will not affect all the progress he made at the clinic. I also hope you can get some sleep Thais! *hugs*

Oh no, Thais! I’ve been thinking about you and Matthew. I hate that there’s cold and flu season, and then coxsackie and “summer virus” season!…

My nephew had a bad case of coxsackie last year, similar to the way Matthew’s sounds, and he also wouldn’t eat anything. My sister gave him cold milk if he would take it, but even then it was just a few sips. I can’t remember the mixture, but there’s a concoction they told us to make involving mylanta and milk, I believe. It’s supposed to coat the throat.

Oh, no! Poor Matthew. I hope this doesn’t set him back at all and that he recovers quickly and begins to eat again soon.
