I went off of TED and my ped G.I and normal ped are REALLY thinking Kate doesn’t have any allergy. I went nuts and had icecream and am now freaking out and horrified she’s going to have a nasty reaction. How long approx. would it take for a reaction to appear after eating the offensive food? For me it’s been a scary waiting game. Thanks so much if you have any idea! Ball park?

This is totally not scientific, just my experience… I had some hidden dairy the other day for lunch.. that night was perfect.. the next day he was a mess.. fussy and refluxy and then that night he had diarrhea.. over 24 hours after I had eaten it. He slept fine that night too, but had diarrhea the next morning. After that, it seemed like it had cleared his system.

I think I’ve read that it’s in your breastmilk in about 4 hours??

Man, I’ll cross my fingers for you. I really hope that you are able to eat again.

Thanks Naomi!!! I’m going to stick to milk and soy protein free just to be on th safe side. I swear, that icecream tasted so good I wanted to cry

if you don’t see a reaction then I say go off the diet…or at least start adding things back in…the diet is not meant for long-term- it’s meant to help you figure out what, if anything you’re eating is effecting your baby…it’s hard but definitely worth it, at least it was for me…however my baby did not have mspi so for me it was not milk or soy proteins…
