needing a little help VERY LONG

Sorry so long this is our story . Let me know what ya’ll think. Does she have reflux? What bottles do ya’ll use? Does she have DEG? I gave her the Relgan and she started jucking her head in her sleep has nrver did this before. Is this a reaction? What meds do ya’ll think she needs? What would just make her cry in her sleep then stop? Does any of ya’ll babys do this?

I breastfeed for the first two weeks she did fine. Then I could not breastfeed and had to stop. We put her on Similac Advance with iron ready to feed. She did fine for a little while then she started to spitting up. The Dr said that some baby’s can not handle the ready to feed to try the powder. Well again she did ok for a little while. This is the symptoms she started with spitting up alot. Coughing and gagging all the time and hiccups alot. She has a rattle on her chest. Wanting to eat all the time. So I brought her in to the Dr. She said to thicken her formula with one to two teaspoons of cereal per oz. So that did fine for a few weeks. Then she started crying for no reason. The only way to make her stop crying was to feed her. I could hear her stomach making sounds and stuff coming up but nothing would come out. She would make funny faces. Like in pain. I called the Dr and she said I had a fussy baby. So we changed Dr’s. The other one did not want to do anything. That was about 5 weeks old (3-16-07). Then they put her on liquid Zantac 0.5 ml three times a day. With the same formula and putting 1 tablespoon of cereal per oz. That worked for about a month. Then she started throwing up again and screaming once in the middle of eating. So they upped her Zantac to 0.8ml three times a day and soy formula. As long as she was on the ready to feed she was ok. They gave me ready to feed samples at the Dr’s office. I tried her on the concentrated and powder. That made it worst. I brought her back in. (4-18-07) She had a rash. It was like dry spots. I asked the Dr what it was he said eczema . Well then they put her on Prevacid 1/2 a pack and Similac Alimentum which was going really good as long as she was on the ready to feed. Again the Dr’s office give me that as samples. Well after putting her on this formula the rash / eczema went away. Then I did not know you were suppose to give her the Prevacid 30 mins to a hr before eating and that you have to get all the white beads. So I started doing that. So (5-1-07) Then I went to get my WIC and found out they would not pay for the ready to feed and they do not make concentrate and they only get the powder in the Similac Alimentum. So they put her on the concentrated Nutramigen and added a tablespoon of rice per oz. of formula. Now this formula she is having a hard time with gas. She now pulls her little legs up all night. She is still throwing up like CRAZY. So I went back in. (5-7-07) He said he does not think she was getting her meds right. Here is what he wants to do. He did put her on the Prevacid SoluTabs 15 mg in am dissolve by month. I ask if I can try Oatmeal cereal and he said yes. Also I found a new formula that just came out called Similac Advance Sensitive R.S. He said I could try it if I wanted to. I did for a day or so and she still spit up so I went back to the concentrated Nutramigen. I have been going back and forth with the rice and oatmeal cereal. Her gas is getting better with the gas drops now. It seems like she can only handle the ready to feed in any formula. She does worst on the powder and concentrated. On the ready to feed it so thick. It is like honey or something it is so thick. I hold her up after eating for 15 to 30 mins. She is always in her swing. She sleeps on her back. Loves to play on her back all day. She hates to be on her stomach. She does not cry or scream when she is on her back. Never has. She sleeps all night without waking up. She just coughs and chokes sometimes in her sleep. Now she will be taking a nap during the day and just cry out for no reason. She is drools a lot. She likes to be held. She has stopped crying in the middle of eating. Now she cries when you try to burp her and gets stiff like a board and that is not every feeding. I give her the bottle cold now that I am giving her concentrated. When she was on powder it was room temp. The concentrated is really thick sometime and thinner other time. I donor know what is up with that. I make it like it says. She was on nursery water . I took her off of it because they said the fluoride can cause gas and spitting up. I put her on regular Kentwood water. Maybe there is a little different and maybe not. I tried to give her the formula without the cereal and she did ok. Over this week she did really good only spit up with a few burps and one bottle she spit up a lot but I did not have cereal in it and I had tried a new bottle and I think it was to fast. Because she finished it in no time. This was the best she had did on anything but ready to fed. Sometime around May 14th or 16th I called her Dr and told them thing are not getting better and that I feel that something is wrong so that sent me to Dr Kchoo and to call him after I seen Dr K. I seen Dr K on (5-22-07) He said she was a happy spitter. That I had a laundry problem. If I did not want to see it to put sunglass on. To stop putting the cereal in her bottle and come back in a wk and see how she is doing. I called her ( Pedi) Dr on (5-25-07) to let him know what Dr K said. They could not believe he did not order any test. Also I was upset and tried on seeing her throwing up all the time. So the Dr ordered a upper G.I. On (5-28-07) they did the upper G.I. On (5-29-07) they called with her results. They said she his a hiatal hernia. (5-29-07) Went to Dr K for her 1 wk check up. Her took her off of the Previcid. Said it was poison and she did not need it. To start her on Jar food in 2 wks 3 times a day. And see her again in 1 month. I Started her with in a wk because she is not a big eater and 3 times a day was a lot for her. So I did one a day a few days then 2 times and so on. Tell she was 3 times a day in the 2 wks. Well everything was still the same if not worse. I called him on (6-29-07) because it seem to be worse . He put her on Reglan 1 ml 3 times a day. I took her off I did not like the side affects. We seen him for her check up on (7-3-07) . He still said she was a happy spitter. I told him I took her off the Reglan and he said good it was poison. He said to feed her 3 oz and 2 jars of food. If I wanted. She has started crying in her sleep at night and naps. You give her her pacifier and she stops and goes back to sleep. I started warming her bottles a little. On (7-24-07) we went to the ER with her she passed out on me for a min. The ER Dr put her on Zantac 2ml. 1 time a day and at night if needed. He said she is passing out because of her reflux. Brought her to her reg Dr on (7-22-07) He put her on Similac Lactose free. He was going to put her back on Previcid but said since she just started the Zantac to leave her on that but 2 ml 2 times a day. (7-26-07) Seen Dr Lao Pedi G.I. Elecare formula. Only 2 bottles a day. Zantac 2 ml 2 times aday and Reglan .6 3 times aday. More jar food and juice.

It is getting so frustrated. I hate to see her like this. She throws up all over the place. I really do not understand she is a VERY happy baby. She laughs and smiles all the time even when she throws up or spits up. You can not put on pressure on her stomach. We have a few goods day then back to bad then good and so on. Cries out during naps and at night.It can be 5 mins after she eats or it can be hrs after she eats. She will throw up. She can’t play on her tummy.
