InactiveHi all,
I’m hoping someone can help me out here. I’ve been trying to find the reicpe for goat milk on the Dr Sears website, but when I click on the link, it comes up blank.Does anyone know where else I could find the recipe?I’ve been giving Owen 50/50 goat milk and neocate, but I was going to make the recipe for whole milk soon since he will soon be a year. Right now I am making it with rice syrup in it also, but it said as the child gets closer to a year, you could eliminate that.Just wondering if there is somewhere else I should look…….August 10, 2007 at 8:56 pm #40866Anonymous
InactiveWhole milk would then be equal consentration then. Like same part water as same concenrated goats milk. ex: 12 ounces goats milk with 12 ounces water added to it. (I think that is what i remember, because now you do 12 ounces milk and 24 ounces water right?)
BUT JUST GET WHOLE GOATS MILK REFRIGERATED KIND!!
thats what we get.. meyenburg whole goats milk.. it has added vit D, as well. And no you dont need to add the syrup anymore because they are older and eating other foods. And so much easier then mixing the concentrated with water!! Its just like normal milk!! 😉I hope i anwered your question.. let me know if you have anymore, or if i am wrong with the concentration part.August 10, 2007 at 9:04 pm #40867Anonymous
InactiveWell, actually we do the powdered milk and I halved the recipe because I was doiing neocate and goats milk and I wanted to make it fresh every day. But I guess if goats milk comes in like a half gallon or gallon, that would work wonders and I could just add the neocate and water to it……..
Right now, I make 2 scoops goat milk, 2T rice syrup and 12 oz of water which makes about 13oz of milk. I add 12 oz water and 12 heaping scoops of Neocate for my 24 oz per day.

This is the link I use for the formula… It is the same one you had? It’s working okay for me. It sounds like you might be able to use the refrigerated kind more easily like Lauren suggsted though.
