Carnation Good start Supreme

Thanks, everyone. I actually am not fully sure why we’re on the Alimentum….I think the Dr’s just aren’t sure what else to do–one of those can’t hurt to try it. He has not had an endoscopy yet, but the other tests have come back normal(blood tests, upper g.i., swallow study). He has been through so many different meds too(zantac, prevacid, prilosec, and now zegerid 20 mg), and he seems to be better for about a week or so on the new med, and then goes back to screaming and arching, etc… For example, he had a bottle at 3:45 this a.m. and refused (and I mean outright shrieked) another bottle until 1:30pm…and even then he only took 3 oz. He wouldn’t even put the nipple in his mouth. He saw it coming and began to scream. I think everyone’s at their wits end. I know I am….I just feel so sad seeing him in pain. Part of the problem is he is having no problems at all gaining weight. He is 4.5 months old and weighs about 20lbs. He is a BIG boy (97% for height and weight). So, I don’t know that anyone is fully taking me seriously when I tell them what’s going on. Grrr…well, thanks for letting me vent!
