swaddle! sling! do you have a target near you? they now carry hotslings in the baby department…or go find a local babywearing group and contact the leader for help ASAP

(these things did not work for us when my baby screamed so much that he went hoarse…this was while we were waiting for the PPI to work & we didn’t know we should give zantac (axid, tagament, pepcid) at the same time bcse until the PPI starts to take effect, it’s as if your baby isn’t on any meds at all)

My little girl did the same thing. Children’s Mercy in KC GI Clinic switched her to Nexium. Ashlynn is turning 4 months tommorrow and has been on the nexium now for 2 months and has been a differnet baby since the Nexium, it was hard at first giving the med, but daddy and I finally got a system down.

We first dr we saw I was not impressed with , so switched after our second appt with the orginal dr. The next provider we saw was excellent. At first we tried uping her dose of Prevacid but that did not work, Ash also had to do 1 day stay at the hospital for iv Zantac before Prevacid and this did not help after the Zantac got out of her system. Besides the Nexium she takes erthryomycin and Periactin. The last two help her stomach to empty quicker. She still had momments where the reflux makes her mad, but overall she is a totally differnet baby. Now when she cries it’s becasue we can not get her bottle to her quick enough. Call your ped and have them call the Gi dr and see if they can get him in sooner. Ashlynn ped called and told them that it was a emergency case, we did not have to wait that long maybe a week if that. Call your ped and demand that they get Gavin in sooner. I didn’t think that i could make through the screaming non stop ,but it does get better. I had to tell myself that this will pass and that it’s not her fault, it’s the pains fault.
