I was just wondering how you get your child to take the Zantac. She cannot stand the taste and spits it out. I’ve resorted to mixing it with some breastmilk and even then it’s hard to get her to take it. I’d love any suggestions. DD is 4 weeks old.

When DS2 was taking Zantac, I’d his dose in a tiny cup with an equal amount of Mylanta Cherry Supreme (it’s safe to mix them together since it’s an antacid and an H2 Blocker u just cannot do that if it’s a PPI drug like Prevacid or Nexium)

The cherry flavor helps with that awful peppermint flavor and he’d take it that way.

some pharmacy’s can add flavoring to meds. I had to add flavoring to my gerdling’s periactin , so that she would take it I heard that grape flavor works in Zantac, helps take away the nasty taste. I know that Walhgreens in Missouri does this and they many flavors to choose from.
