Hello everyone,
Camryn is teething again, and it seems as though her reflux is much worse. She hadn’t puked or arched her back in quite a while. She just seems to be in a lot of pain this past week. She has already gotten her two front bottom teeth in. (That was hell!! But this is worse) I noticed she has a white area on her top gum, it also looks pretty red and swollen around it. She won’t let me get two inches away from her. She wakes up all night long.

I have been using baby oragel, motrin, and tylenol without any success.
I tried mylanta and she seems to settle a little bit, but only for a short time.

I am going to try the benadryl tonight, if nothing else maybe it will help her rest.

She is almost 9 months, and both my boys grew out of there reflux by now. Could her teething be causing worse reflux?

Simple answer, absolutely- from my own experience and from reading these boards for the last year. Teething can agravate reflux. I’m not sure what meds you use but could you up them temporarily or add some zantac or pepcid complete?

Totally… the two front teeth were the worst for Cooper… we have 6 total and are working on #7 which hasn’t been too bad, but his is refluxing with teething were he has been pretty much spit up free until we started teething again…

Thank you for your replies. She is better now, but no tooth came in. I hope she grows out of her reflux soon, she really wears me out. 24/7 with her takes its toll on me. My husband tries, but she wants only Mommy. I can not even get two feet from her. (spoiled rotten is what she is, but how can you not spoil them.)

It would be nice to have a full 8 hours of sleep again. It has been a very long time since I have gotten more than 4 hours of sleep at a time.

Well better get the kids their baths. Thanks again for your help. I don’t get to post as much as I would like. This board has helped a lot.
