Inactivebetween getting sick, stress, and taking ADD medication, i have lost a fair amount of weight in the last 3 months. some of the clothes that were too tight before are now too big. i feel like i am getting just a little vain about it. but, after 9 kids, the body shape just isn’t the same as it was when i was younger—-even at the same weight. bummer.

InactiveLOL!
That’s great about the weight loss! Though I’ve only had two kids, I can sympathize about the body shape issue. After having Ben and eating on the TED, I weighed less than I did in high school, but everything was in the wrong place!January 21, 2008 at 4:01 pm #47550Anonymous
InactiveI know how you feel! I don’t think my body will ever be the same again and I’ve only had one! I’m currently dieting and am not far from the magic “number” I’m trying to reach…yet when I wear clothes and look at myself in the mirror it seems like I’m NO WHERE CLOSE to what I want to look like! So sad!!
Congrats on the weight loss and I hope you find a wonderful new wardrobe! Go on and be vain…you deserve it!

InactiveI can’t even relate to getting back to the prepregnancy weight, nevermind looking the same!
I think I need either more meds or a really bad virus that lasts about 6 months to even make a dent on my issue!I’m sure you are all beautiful women with beautiful children to show for it!January 23, 2008 at 5:08 pm #47615Anonymous
InactiveWell, unlike all of you fine ladies, I never lost any waist and gained anything in any places I wouldn’t want to gain. YEAH RIGHT!! I’m currently 31 weeks pregnant and look like a whale. Even after losing all the baby weight after having Ariella (breastfeeding helped in that department), my hips/ribs still looked/felt too wide. I now look at the pictures of the younger years (hehehe, that was only a few years ago) and sigh. I used to be so much slimmer and that waist…

InactiveI never really had that great a waist before, and I’m actually 8 pounds lighter than I was before I got pregnant, and my pants are still a little snug around the waist!!

Inactivei think i am understanding my daughter’s eating disorder a little bit more. my hips measure smaller than i ever remember, and if i bend to the side you can see all my ribs. my waist is smaller than it has been in a long time, also—-but when i look in the mirror i just don’t think i look that good——and i would be tickled if the scale dropped more. maybe if i just got the old body in shape i would feel better about myself. maybe everything is just too saggy.LOL!! i didn’t have much of an appetite for a while. the twins used to ask me if i had eaten—-sometimes i just forgot, i guess. my appetite is coming back, so i guess that is a good thing.
i remember in the past getting just a few lbs less than i am now—-and realizing that i wasn’t starting to look better, i was starting to look sickly.i’m 5′ 5 1/2″ does anyone know what is a healthy weight range for that height?kevieb2008-01-25 01:54:39
