the upper GI isn’t to diagnose reflux- it’s to look for structural abnormalities- it’s a ‘snap shot’ in time so if baby doesn’t reflux at the time of the test, that’s all it is: baby didn’t reflux at the time of the tes. that’s not to say baby doesn’t have reflux! just that baby didn’t reflux ‘on demand’…
hopefully having the medicine ‘more spread out’ in his system will be the first step at settling him down more…
I would experiment with giving the prevacid 2 & 3 times a day to see what works best for your son. one time a day won’t be efficient, bcse babies have very fast metabolisms- they ‘speed’ right through the dose…
it needs to be given on an empty stomach & then followed by a meal 30 minutes later
