baby gasping in sleep

not sure… you should call and ask teh doctor. if you think she could be aspirating in her sleep then you would want to do some things for that. Is her bed elevated to let gravity help keep things down? That might be something you could try now to see if that helps.

Did you ask you md about this? I hear my one month old make this noise.

sometimes I hear it when he eats I do the cross cradle hold for breastfeeding, other times I hear it when he is sitting upright asleep, maybe it has to do with the reflux as well

The 3 things that came to mind were: apnea, aspiration and stridor. I hope you found out what it was and figured out how to treat it! These things are so scary!

Hey I am new. My two month old son has reflux and he does that and it just started. He does it in his sleep along with flailing arms. Apparently GERD can get worse for up to six months. However, it seems that my son will have a decent (not great day) and then several terrible days. We are soooooooo tired ! However, I run into people all the time who had GERD babies and they assure me it does go away. HURRY UP !!

My little guy does that too, but the dr said that is normal and lots of babies do that.

Hmm…. the more I read everyone else’s posts I’ve come to this conclusion:

either

1. My dr doesn’t think its a big deal (won;t put him on meds, thinks Sam is fine as he is gaining weight – hello! – he is in PAIN!!!)
2. Or everyone else’s drs are quick to prescribe….
