I hope others chime in.
I suppose s/he will want to know why you’re there- symptoms, etc.,
what you’re currently doing & what you’ve tried re:
formula, breastfeeding, switching from one formula to another or changing diet while breastfeeding
solids- when you started, how it’s going
medicines she’s currently taking & what doses and what medication she’s been on before and what doses
any rashes or skin conditions
how she eats
how she sleeps
how she poops
s/he might want to do an Upper GI- this is where they look for structural abnormalities- it is NOT a test for reflux bcse if baby doesn’t reflux at the time of the test it just means that they didn’t ‘catch’ her refluxing at the time of the test, it does not mean that she doesn’t reflux (ever)
I would listen to what dr has to say and I would also TELL dr what it is that I’m expecting/looking for.
If you want, you might fax the dr before the appt. so that s/he knows the facts that you would like addressed-
keep the fax short & sweet w/ facts and statements- no rambling emotions. then state what you want/what you would like to discuss at the appt.
