I am starting Prevacid solutabs today- 3x day. I plan on keeping Zantac in the mix-2xday. How would I dose it all so that there is the 4 hour buffer between each dose?

Hi Mama!

Did you ever get any guidance on this question?? This is my exact dilemma currently as I wait for Buffer Babies to arrive……we’re currently dosing Prevacid (OTC in pear puree) twice a day (7.5 mg mid-day, 15 mg at night) with Axid twice a day (first thing in the am and dinnertime)….I’d like to break up the Prevacid to 3x/day dosing of 7.5 mg to help with the coverage, but I’m afraid to stop the Axid just yet as we’ve only been doing the PPI for 4 days (although I think we’re seeing an improvement– woo hoo!!), but can’t figure out how to get it all in with the 4 hour separation. Thanks!!

Sorry, but the only thing I ever got was the 4 hour rule. So I just do 1 dose between the Previcid.

Hopefully the BB will arrive soon!
