How to give Prevacid 30mg

Another question…..how would you split up a 30mg dose of Prevacid?? We just increased LO’s dose to 30mg per Marci-Kids dosing as 22.5mg didn’t seem to be doing it….we’ve been giving the Prevacid twice daily, 15mg each dose with a dose of Axid in between (Axid, Prevacid, Axid, Prevacid)….LO is still experiencing pain (tonight very severe) between PPI doses (not sure the H2 is doing anything anymore), so contemplating dosing the PPI 3x/day….how would you split it up?? Thinking 7.5mg in the am, 7.5mg in the afternoon and 15mg at bedtime?? We’re not on Prevacid 2 weeks yet (11 days), so I’m hesitant to just stop the Axid, but don’t know how to fit that in as well with 4 hrs. between all doses. Is it normal to have a good-ish day followed by a bad one– I just feel like we take one step forward and 10 steps back.
