My daughter just turned 9 months and for the past month has been refusing formula. I only breastfed for the first 6 months and she has been doing well on formula with no signs of acid reflux till about 8 months. She was never a big eater adn would only take about 20 oz formula daily, but our ped was fine with it as she was gaining weight and stayed at 25%. All of a sudden at 8 months she started refusing fluids and would only drink barely at night when she was half asleep. She also started waking up at night screaming in pain every 1-2 hrs. Our peditrician thought it was just a stomach virus and didn’t take my concerns seriously (told me her waking up at night is psychological..) so we are in search of a new doctor but also saw gastro who thinks it might be bad GERD or acid and put her on 7.5ml prevacid. So far we are not seeing any changes and it has been a week of prevacid. We also went through a neck xray and esophogram and next one on the list is endoscopy if she doesn’t get better.. which i really don’t want her to go through.. Does anyone else have babies with same symptoms? She does fine with solids, it’s really just fluids and we’ve tried juice, changing formulas, nothing helps.. I keep researching online on what else this could be. We haven’t slept in a month and seeing her in pain is just breaking my heart. Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated! Thanks!
