My LO is just 7 mo and we have been trying solids for the past month. Mostly veggies, and with that, mostly forms of squash! I wait a week between new foods, so it’s a bit slow adding to our menu. We did try carrots, and that is where my question comes in.
He really seemed to enjoy the carrots, but he did a lot more spitting up. His naps were shorter as well, but he wakes up happy; doesn’t really fuss unless I keep him waiting too long!! He continues to sleep through the night and overall, is pretty happy.
Then today, we skipped the carrots, stuck with zucchini (has had before) and he has been spitting up a lot, just like with the carrots.
I make his food- is it possible that I didn’t steam the veggies enough before I pureed them so that he is having a rough time digesting? Or could it be a sign of intollerance? Diapers are normal, mood is normal, only changes are shorter naps and more (happy) spitting up.
Also, is there anything “stronger” than mylicon for baby gas? When he does get fussy, it seems to be a gas issue!
Any thoughts are appreciated!
