InactiveWe’ve been using BB for over a year now! It has been AWESOME for us! Let me know if you have any questions once yours arrives! (We use Prilosec OTC but it’s all essentially the same). 🙂

Inactiveok so i gave Leigha her first dose of bb and she has been in horrible pain ever since. i havnt even been able to put her down to bed! i read they could be gassy at first but this seems extreme. im going to give it another day or so but if it doesnt improve at all i dont think i could go through with it much longer. has anyone elses baby had a rough start w bb? how long did it last?

InactiveHey Diane. How have things been since your last post? Still really gassy? There is sometimes a transition known as “BB hell” where the BB is battling with the acid (creating gas) but the BB WILL WIN OUT…it just takes a little time. This usually doesn’t happen until 5-7 days in though. There’s a chance the sodium bicarb is just too much for Leigha…in which case CC-max might be a better option. It’s made by the same people…just without as much sodium bicarb. Best of luck!

InactiveI have had my LO on Prilosec with the Caracream Max for a month now. THe gassiness has not gotten better, plus she has become very constipated. I just emailed the people at Reflux Solutions about this.

KeymasterMailee (or are you Mailee’s mama?),
Could the gas be from MSPI/reacting to something? has anything in your diet changed?January 16, 2011 at 11:08 am #67611Anonymous
InactiveI’m Mailee’s mama 🙂
We figured out that Mailee was MSPI several months ago.. at that point I went on the Dr. Sears Elmination diet and then slowly started adding things back in (except dairy). There have been times when I’ve “cheated” and eaten some dairy, but this is probably a once a week thing at most.
She is so gassy, I can literally feel bubbles bursting in her tummy all the time. It was never like this prior to the Caracream, but I’m torn with what to do, because her reflux IS finally under control.

Inactivewell leigha has been on the caracream max for over a week wo any gas! i wouldnt say the change has been a miricke but it def seems to have her pain under control. she also has been on probotics for a week which has seemed to help a great deal withj gassiness…so it might be worth a try if you lo has lots of gas
