I never ever post in this section as I’m always afraid that I’m going to jinx us, but I realized that there is so much concern on here that I thought maybe I could help a little by posting something positive for a change.
A lot of you know us – Owen is almost 16 months old now and I’ve been posting here for over a year. We’ve had great periods and we’ve had some really tough times, but I’m happy to say that we’ve had almost two full weeks of just GREAT times. Owen has started eating just wonderfully since we dropped his AM bottle – he has big breakfasts now, like a waffle and a banana, or shredded mini-wheats and some fruit – and actually wakes up happy (this morning he was humming “twinkle twinkle” in his crib when he woke up). He’s also been sleeping through the night and later than ever – until 6:30 or 7, which for our early riser is REALLY sleeping in.
Anyway, I’m sure that in a few days or a week I’ll be posting again about our next issue, but I just wanted to share that it really does get better. I had felt that there was never going to be an end to the stress of all of this, but I can tell that even if we do have bad times again soon, there are even better times ahead for us. And believe me, a month ago I never would have believed you if you told me things would improve – I was convinced he would be miserable forever since it really does feel that way when you’re in the middle of it.
I don’t really have any purpose for posting this other than to just let some of you know that it REALLY does get so much better. It may take longer than you had hoped, and you may go forward one day and backwards for the next two, but soon the good days will last longer than the bad days and you’ll be able to really enjoy your kids more and more!

It’s fantastic when they turn the corner! And don’t be too sure it will get bad again. We prepare ourselves for it, but sometimes it just stays great!
