this is my 4th reflux baby and i honestly thought maybe being 36 weeks we;d squeak by. however it doesnt appear that way. The ugly signs of reflux have reared their head and my ped was going to give us prevacid solutabs, which my other 3 had had, but her senior dr said carly is too young. she is 5 weeks today. I swear I remember my ds being this young and getting it. Can anyone please help and tell me can she have it this young and what the dosage would be? I want her to feel better asap! Reflux stinks:( Ped wants to put her on zantac btw, but it never helped my other kids and I also asked if she can have mylanta and they said she’s too young for that. 🙁

you can ask the people at U of Missouri (they are at the forefront of research in dosing of infants w/ PPIS) to contact your doctor, so you don’t have to argue

thank you. can you please tell me is that 1.5 15 mg pills? I have these and want to start using them asap. thanks.

first let me star tby saying I am not a doctor…

ok, the chart tells you to figure out how many mgs of medicine per how many kilos of weight baby is

that’s why it says 1.5mg/kg

so use the chart to find baby’s weight in kgs

and then do the math (or I/we can help you) to figure out how many mgs of medicine baby can get
