Does this sound like intolerance?

DS2 is 4 months old in a few days. He cries a lot. It’s not considered colic, as it’s not 3 hours a day for 3 days a week for 3 weeks…but it’s a lot. He’s not content or comfortable anywhere…not in his swing, or on his playmat or even being held. He’ll be okay for a few minutes but then will squirm/cry.

He’s always been this way, to a certain extent, but it’s gotten & is getting worse. He’s started coming constipated sometimes & then other times his stool is runny, a greeny-yellow color & has a lot of curdled bits.

He seems very uncomfortable a lot & passes gas/struggles to pass gas a lot. He doesn’t burp as easily as he used to. I can try & try but often times I’ll get one small burp after a bottle. He used to be a GREAT night sleeper & an okay napper, but in the past few weeks he’s become a horrible napper [he used to take at least one 2 hour nap a day & the other 2-3 naps were at least an hour or more, whereas now he’s napping maybe an hour at a time, if even, & I have to go to him & past his back etc. often] & while once he’s asleep at bedtime he’s okay, it’s become a huge ordeal to get him to sleep & he cries & cries. I have started to need to lay in bed with him, making sure he’s on his side & he squirms & squirms & sometimes passes gas until he falls asleep & I transfer him to his bassinet.

He’s also had recurring eczema on his face.

We’ve been to see his family doctor who has said his stomach doesn’t feel hard, that the eczema is probably just because it’s winter & that he’s most likely just a high needs baby that needs a lot of attention. He’s a great doctor & did say that he’d refer us to a pediatrician if we feel something more is going on or if the issues persist or worsen. He has an appointment on Wednesday, so I think I’m going to ask for that referral.

What do you guys think? Does it sound like it could be related to an intolerance or allergy?
