I’m getting very frusterated with my son’s symptoms and lack of concern from the doctor’s and no results from meds.
His symptoms: spitting up TONS all the time during the day, right after eating and hours later, grunting and straining all the time with and without spitting up (not from gas/pooping, he does that fine), coughing/choking on his spitup, fussy/refusing feeds during the day from breast or bottle, spits up regardless of positioning, sometimes spit up looks mucousy but its hard to say for sure, drooling tons (no signs of teeth), sticks tongue out all the time, sleeps crappy during the day only 30 minute naps.
Now at night he eats fine and sleeps up to 9 hours. He doesnt spit up at night and no grunting. I’ve heard that this is because acid production is higher during the day…so does that mean no allergy?
He also has no rashes, and only occasionally has greenish poop but generally it’s normal breastfed poop.
I’ve tried eliminating milk but not as far as every little bit of hidden milk. But there have been times when I have something that is outright milk and his symptoms do not change really.
He was on zantac seemed to only work minimally. Was on prevacid fastabs, worked well for a week then I think it was impossible to give on an empty stomach, plus he spits it up.
Now he’s on domeridone and zantac again but I[m thinking of trying domperidone with the fastabs until I can get my hands on Zegerid.
What do you think?? He has stopped gaining weight but since he’s a big boy (19 pounds at 4.5 months) the doctors arent concerned. 🙁
