I’ve heard that compounded PPI’s lose their potency early. Any chance this can happen with pepcid?

I get a bottle that they just mix with water. They say it expires in 4 weeks. By week 3 I feel like it’s not working. Is that a possibility? It was working beautifully when i first received the bottle. He’s taking 8mg twice a day.

it’s most likely ok, it’s just that it’s very weight sensitive and I would imagine your baby has gained weight by week 3?

That’s not an issue. he weighs 17.5lbs and is getting double what that dosage chart says.

He does have a cold. It’s possible that swallowing mucous is aggravating things.
