My son is 4 weeks old and 11lbs 5oz at last visit. We started on Zantac, which didn’t work. Ped switched him to Pepcid 0.3ml twice daily (dosing is 40mg/5ml). She also told me to give him 2ml of Maalox three times a day as needed. The dosing on the Pepcid just seems so low…???

as for maalox- it has aluminum. the majority of mamas here try and find the mylanta version that does not have aluminum- it’s hard to find but it IS possible- look at store brand equivalents to cherry mylanta supreme- CVS brand, Rite-aid brand, etc- look at the list of ingredients…you can give 1ml at a time up to 5mls over a 24hr time period- if you see loose stools, then ‘back off’
