Hi there,

Anybody know when to administer a PPI (losec) suspension? Is it more effective thirty minutes before a feex or immediately before? Thanks so much. Aso, does it need to be separated from ranitidine by four hours?Flutie2011-09-28 13:51:19

suspensions are notoriously made improperly

they do not have to be timed around meals

they do need to be spaced 4 hrs from ranitidine

please read this, it’ll help

Thanks for the info Laura. We have actually found a pharmacy specializing in pediatric compounding so I hope it will be effective. She filled fifteen days and said that she will call at 10 days to see how we are getting on to make sure that it hasn’t lost its effectiveness….fingers crossed.
