Im going to sound crazy…but…my LO has been doing great the last 3 weeks on prevacid. I went from using marci kids dosing to only 2x per day to now 1x per day dosing with no silent reflux issues.
She is like a new baby…its wonderful…her babysitters are even amazed by the change.
I find myself tempted to try no prevacid and see if the reflux comes roaring back or if in this short period of time she has grown out of it?? Or if she had some sort of allergy to something I was eating all this time causing the reflux…her gut has finally matured??
Or is it most likely her esophagus has finally healed and so a smaller dose is working and I should just leave it?
Im only tempted because the prevacid did cause a decrease in appetite and if she is better I would rather take her off meds. On the other hand, if she isn’t better, I don’t want to have to go thru weeks of misery again for the ppi to start working.

Fyi…she is 4 months old and on bb with prevacid. Current dose is 8mg 1x a day…down from 8mg 3x per day.lynnedays2011-10-06 04:33:39
